It was Pop sensation Lady Gaga who once said: “In a sense, I portray myself in a very androgynous way, and I love androgyny.” Evangeline Lilly followed by saying, “I do feel like I’m at ease in my own skin when I find an androgynous balance.”
Zuri November is one such young South African, who has found the balance between femininity and masculinity with ease.
His latest work with photographer, Thapelo Letsoalo, illustrates the beauty of finding your own voice in a world highly influenced heteronormativity. November’s latest work titled “The Black Gay Jesus Collection” embodies a spirit of freedom in one’s body, something most of us struggle with.
